Pizza Varieties

Pizzas are nothing but oven baked, normally round shaped flat bread covered often with cheese and tomato sauce and along with other toppings too. Even though it originated as a Neapolitan cuisine, this dish became very famous in almost all part of the globe. Since Italy is well known for its pizza varieties (nearly 100 pizza varieties), they have now known as pizza pioneers. Pizza varieties are mostly different from each other due to their toppings, as the pizza base and the tomato sauce are mostly common to all pizzas. But nowadays even the pizza crusts are created in various varieties. Seasonings and herbs are added to the pizza crusts in order to create more pizza varieties to be consumed by the regular pizza eaters.
Even the cheese used in the pizzas varies to create unique tastes. The most famous pizza varieties are the garlic pizzas, herb pizzas, jalapeno and corn pizzas, meat pizzas that include ham or bacon or mushroom or chicken or meat and veggie pizzas mainly consisting of olive oil, rosemary, potatoes, oregano, beans, cherry tomatoes, shallots, broccoli, baby corn, capsicum, harissa, fetta along with parmesan or mozzarella cheese and so on. There are also seafood pizzas that include prawns, baby clams, mussels, anchovies and so on. For the health conscious persons there are diet pizzas, low calorie pizzas and protein rich pizzas. Since there is great awareness towards the food and the amount and type of calories we consume, many pizza restaurants offer salads along with pizzas.
